<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time required for name resolution, in a name resolution device carrying out name resolution by requesting name resolution from another name resolution device. <P>SOLUTION: This invention is related to the name resolution device carrying out name resolution by requesting name resolution from any name resolution provision device out of a plurality of name resolution provision devices. The name resolution device is characterized by including: a means to register information related to history of communication between the respective name resolution provision devices and itself; a means to determine priority for requesting name resolution on a name resolution provision device basis based on at least registered history information; a means to register information of the determined priority on a name resolution provision device basis; and a means to preferentially request name resolution from the name resolution provision device high in priority in requesting the name resolution from the name resolution provision device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
