<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desktop cutter having a guard adjusting mechanism eliminating a time and labor for adjusting a guard position when the cutting angle of a cutting object is changed by the rotation of a turn table. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the desktop cutter, a guard 12 slidable in conjunction with the rotation of the turn table 3 is provided on a holder 8 side, and the tip of a guard 12a is prevented from projecting into a side handle 15 side from an abutting surface 11a of a fence 11 by the slide of a shaft 24 of the guard 12 while abutting on a cam 26.
