PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seam welding inspection method and device, enhancing a work efficiency by reducing a time for inspection while having high inspection accuracy. SOLUTION: According to this seam welding inspection method for determining whether seam welding is satisfactory which is performed for a plurality of superposed metal plates, a probe 2 of this device is temporarily put in the vicinity of a seam welding part of a metal plate surface for inspecting whether the seam weld is satisfactory by using ultrasonic wave, and the probe 2 causes the ultrasonic wave to enter boundary faces of the plurality of metal plates from an oblique direction.
