<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle of view controller and an angle of view control method for performing control so as to perform camera photography at an angle of view in size adapted to a video display area on a monitor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The angle of view controller 101 includes: a layout information generation part 102 for determining a layout to display on a monitor 111 according to a plurality of camera constructions and generating layout information; a camera information generation part 103 for generating camera control information on a monitor camera 112 on the basis of the layout information generated by the layout information generation part 102; a camera control unit 104 for giving camera control information generated by the camera information generation part 103 to the monitor camera 112 via a network 113 and controlling the monitor camera 112; and a monitor output part 105 for receiving video transmitted by the monitor camera 112 and displaying it onto the monitor 111. Instructions are given to the monitor camera 112 so as to perform photography by an angle of view matching the size of the video display area to display on the monitor 111.
