<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-remote controller that can selectively and remotely control a plurality of electrical appliances, has a function of turning on a button light which is used for a selected appliance and turning off other buttons lights, thus making it easier for a user to visually determine which button to operate, and has excellent usability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The multi-remote controller transmits a control signal corresponding to a plurality of remotely disposed appliances in response to an operation of a button made of a light transmissive diffusing material and includes: a light-emitting unit for irradiating light to the button; a button operation detection unit for detecting an operation to the button; an operation determination unit for determining the type of the detected button; and a light emission control unit for controlling the turning on and off by the light emission unit in response to the determination when the determined button is the one for selecting a particular appliance of the plurality of appliances.
