PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation shielding container having an excellent durability and low production cost. SOLUTION: The radiation shielding container 10 is provided for storing or transporting radioactive wastes. The container 10 includes a stainless steel cylinder 12, one end of which is closed by a bottom plate 11, used contained in a standard drum container 30, and a stainless steel cover 13 removably formed on the opening of the cylinder 12.
