Vinyl chloride is polymerized at 30-70‹ C. in the presence of 0À1-5% by wt. of total monomers of a C 10 -C 22 alpha-olefin added prior to the start of the reaction. Suspension or emulsion technique is used. The addition of the olefin causes polymerization to proceed at a uniform rate. |
