The method involves forming a set of virtual channels for transmission of messages to a common frequency channel, by introducing a spreading code. Prioritization of the messages is performed by radio nodes of a radio network, based on the selected virtual channel. The spreading code has chips including a character of a base code i.e. binary code, associated with the radio network. The radio nodes have a transceiver for transmitting and/or receiving the messages. The messages are partially received by the transceiver.
