The device has spring-resilient units working against an indentation of a foam layer of a foam-padded lining part i.e. roof lining (1), where the indentation is caused by assembly and/or manufacturing tolerances. The foam-padded lining part is arranged in a roof area and provided with a lamination. The units are formed by a resilient foam padding arranged in a transition region. A lining part i.e. pillar lining (2), is arranged adjacent to the foam-padded lining part, where the lining part overlaps in the transition region.
