<p>Disclosed is a travel supporting control system (10) which is provided with an LDW/LKA system (17) for performing a traveling-lane keep assisting control so that the driver's own vehicle (V) may follow the lane without deviation. The LDW/LKA system (17) calculates a virtual lane width (W), which is the lane width which has been narrowed by an obstacle (O) detected by an obstacle detecting sensor (11), and interrupts the traveling-lane keep assisting control, if the calculated virtual lane width (W) is at or less than a threshold value so that an avoiding operation by the driver is needed. As a result, the LDW or LKA action can be stopped at a proper timing, so that the operation by the driver and the operation for the system to keep the lane can be prevented from interfering with each other.</p> |
