摘要 <p>Disclosed is a process for producing an organic electroluminescent (EL) panel using a very thin glass substrate.  The production process does not cause "cracking" or "chipping" of a very thin glass substrate in production steps, can efficiently form an organic EL element by vacuum vapor deposition, can recover an organic EL panel without damage to the very thin glass substrate after the production of the organic EL panel, and can eliminate the need to provide the step of cleaning the backside of the very thin glass substrate.  The production process comprises forming an organic electroluminescent element by vacuum vapor deposition on a very thin glass substrate.  In the production process, a pressure-sensitive adhesive double-coated tape is provided that comprises a base material layer and a heat-releasable pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, which contains thermally expandable microspheres that start expansion and/or foaming at a temperature above the vacuum vapor deposition temperature, provided on at least one side of the base material layer.  The very thin glass substrate is temporarily fixed on a support plate through the pressure-sensitive adhesive double-coated tape, and an electrode is provided on the very thin glass substrate.</p>
