An optical film comprises a base on which a projecting structures are two-dimensionally and regularly disposed and a hard-coated layer formed on the surface of the base on which the structures are disposed.  A continuous wave surface is formed on the surface of the hard-coated layer along the structures on the surface of the base.  The maximum amplitude (A) and the minimum wavelength (?) of the continuous wave surface are generally constant, and the ratio (A/?) of the maximum amplitude (A) to the minimum wavelength (?) is more than 0.002 to 0.011.
