The device (10) has displaceable shielding elements (3A, 3B) e.g. rectangular even plates, for shielding radiation e.g. x-ray radiation. The shielding elements are displaced with speed, which corresponds to speed of a conveyor belt (1). The shielding elements are fastened to the conveyor belt, and are attached to a belt conveyor. The shielding elements are arranged at a distance from each other. The belt conveyor conveys objects (4) to be analyzed, and comprises holes or openings or fastening of the shielding elements. An independent claim is also included for a method for analyzing radiation.
