In a first aspect, the invention is directed to a fluid bag stand for a patient, comprising a pole, a base and at least one bag support. The pole includes a plurality of sections including at least a lower section and an upper sectio n wherein the plurality of sections mate together. The base is mateable with t he pole to support the pole in an upright orientation. The at least one bag support is connectable with the pole. The at least one bag support is configured for supporting a fluid bag for a patient.
