<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for reducing the number of hardware buttons of a control panel, and for making effective use of the space of the control panel, and for reducing costs. <P>SOLUTION: When the finger is made to linearly slide from the left to the right on a liquid crystal display unit, an operation mode is successively switched in the order of a copy mode to a facsimile mode to a scanner mode. On the contrary, when the finger is made to linearly slide from the right to the left on the liquid crystal display unit, the operation mode is successively switched in the order of the copy mode to the scan mode to the facsimile mode.
