PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the oxidation efficiency of an oxidation catalyst to improve exhaust purification efficiency.

SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purifying apparatus with a NOxpurging device includes the oxidation catalyst 10 upstream a NOxtrap catalyst 11, thereby enriching the exhaust that is allowed to flow into the catalyst 11 to reduction-remove NOxoccluded in the catalyst 11. The catalyst 10 is configured by an upstream side oxidation catalyst 10a containing catalyst nobel metals such as platinum and a downstream side oxidation catalyst 10b that is provided downstream the catalyst 10a and contains a zeolite that adsorbs an additive and catalyst nobel metals such as platinum.
