PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably detect the intensity of ambient light around an electro-optical device. SOLUTION: A photodetection device 130 includes a first light-receiving element 131 for receiving light which includes ambient light, a second light-receiving element 132 for receiving light which includes ambient light, and a red color filter 62 disposed in an optical path, where ambient light is incident on the second light receiving element.
