<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fish-catching tool enabling its own length to be adjusted as appropriate correspondingly to fishing details. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fish-catching tool is provided with a grip with two plates standing against each other via a spacer, a tool bar whose one end is turnably joined to one end of the grip so as to be containable in between the two plates, a locking mechanism enabling both the grip and the tool bar to be restricted in turning in a folded-in-two mode with the tool bar contained in the grip and in an opened mode with the tool bar extended in a straight-line fashion respectively, an ever-closed gong provided projectedly on the opened end of the tool bar, and an actuator enabling the gong to be turned through interlocking with the gong inside the tool bar, wherein the actuator is such that two finger-hooking parts, corresponding respectively to the two modes, are projected oppositely from the respective longitudinal side rims of the tool bar.
