<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band-shaped continuous element feeding device changing tension applied to a band-shaped continuous element wound in a roll shape according to a roll diameter, and fixing the tension even if an inner diameter of a core member is different. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The band-shaped continuous element feeding device comprises a roll diameter remaining amount detecting means 21, a rotatable tension applying roller 23 abutting on a peripheral surface of the band-shaped continuous element 2, an energizing means 22 energizing the tension applying roller to the band-shaped continuous element by following a roll diameter of the band-shaped continuous element reeled out and contracted, a tension generating means 20 applying fixed tension to the band-shaped continuous element provided at a feeding portion 3, and a controlling means controlling each portion. When the roll diameter remaining amount detecting means detects that the roll diameter of the band-shaped continuous element is large, the controlling means rotates f the tension applying roller in a pay-out direction F, and when the roll diameter is middle size, the tension applying roller is not rotated.
