<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component wherein neither noise nor vibration is caused when operating an operation knob, and a stopper mechanism to stop movement of the operation knob can be easily structured while giving high strength to it. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The operation knob 151 is installed in the upper part of a jacket case 300, and an electronic component body 10 is installed in the lower part of the jacket case 300. The electronic component body 10 has an electrical functional part composed of a rotator 50 rotating (rocking) in the direction of rotation, a slider 80 which changes electrical output by rotation of the rotor 50. The rotator 50 is coupled to the operation knob 151 by a coupling part 153 passing through the inside of an opening 301 provided in the jacket case 300, and the rotator 50 is rotated together with the operation knob 151 by driving the operation knob 151 to change the electrical output of the electrical functional part. A shock absorbing member 180 to absorb shock when the coupling part 153 rotates and abuts on the inner peripheral surfaces 303a, c of the opening 301 of the jacket case 300 is mounted to the coupling part 153.
