<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which cools steam generated during rice cooking by using a blower and then discharges it outside and by which the period of time of high-noise state can be shortened. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a pan which is housed in a pan housing of a rice cooker body, a pan heating device which heats the pan, the lid body which can open and close an opening of the rice cooker body, a blower which sucks the outside air and blows it, an air blowing path which guides the outside air blown from the blower toward an exhaust port which is arranged in the outer wall of the lid body, a steam path which guides steam generated in the pan toward the air sucking side or air blowing side of the blower and an air blowing control part which controls driving of the blower. Steam in the pan is mixed with the outside air and then is discharged outside. In this case, the air blowing control part makes the force of wind of the blower smaller when the amount of steam passing through the steam path is smaller than a predetermined amount, compared to that in the case where the amount of steam is more than the predetermined amount.
