<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a liquid crystal display, an array substrate, a method of manufacturing the array substrate, and the liquid crystal display provided with the array substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The voltages of data signals are boosted by first and second boosting signals up to first and second pixel voltages respectively and applied to a transmissive electrode and a reflective electrode. Thus, the retardation amount of first light passing through a liquid crystal layer on the transmissive electrode and the retardation amount by the liquid crystal layer of second light made incident on the liquid crystal layer on the reflective electrode and reflected by the reflective electrode are controlled to be substantially equal.
