PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microphone unit, capable of automatically adjusting the directivity of a microphone, according to the position of the head of a person talking. SOLUTION: The microphone unit 201 installed on an automobile has a plurality of sound-collecting elements 203, 204 for generating an input signal, according to the change in the sound voltage caused by sound waves; a position detector 202 for detecting the head position of a predetermined occupant in the automobile; and a delay device 208 and a calculator 209 for performing calculation processing for an input signal so that directivity can be obtained, based on the head position detected by the position detector 202 and the positions of the plurality of sound-collecting elements 203, 204.
