<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer-based monofilament having high loop strength and high knot strength and capable of improving the durability of an industrial fabric compared with conventional such monofilaments, when used in at least part of the industrial fabric, to provide a method for producing the monofilament, and to provide such an industrial fabric. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fluororesin-based monofilament which is made from an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer with a melt flow rate of 20.0-60.0 g/10 min, has a loop strength of 2.5 cN/dtex or higher, 1.0 cN/dtex or higher in knot strength and 20% or less in monofilament diameter unevenness.
