PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable electronic equipment capable of performing prescribed control according to a result obtained by reliably determining whether a load detected by a detection section is caused by a water pressure or other pressures. SOLUTION: A cellular phone unit 1 has operation detection sections 101 and a control section 103. Each operation detection section 101 comprises a plurality of detection sections for detecting pressure by a pressing operation. The control section 103 performs first control (for example, control performed by detecting a pressure except a water pressure) when at least one of the plurality of operation detection sections 101 detects the pressure. Also, the control section 103 performs second control (for example, control performed by detecting the water pressure) differing from the first control when the plurality of operation detection sections 101 detect a uniform pressure simultaneously.
