The present invention relates to an LED lighting apparatus that is able to light up frontward and sideward. The LED lighting apparatus comprises: a front lighting unit including plural primary LEDs and a primary circuit substrate that supplies electric power and a control signal to the primary LEDs, wherein the primary LEDs emit a light frontward; a lateral lighting unit including plural secondary LEDs and a secondary circuit substrate that supplies electric power and a control signal to the secondary LEDs, wherein the secondary LEDs emit a light sideward; a lighting plate that is arranged to guide the light from the secondary LEDs of the lateral lighting unit toward the lateral sides of the LED lighting apparatus; and a cover unit that fixes the front lighting unit, the lateral lighting unit and the reflecting unit. Through the invention, a light can be emitted in not only the front direction but also the lateral direction of a lighting.
