<p>Disclosed is a method for coagulating contaminants in a whole blood sample readily without the need of any centrifugal separation treatment, which can be employed as a pre-treatment for amplifying a nucleic acid in the whole blood sample. Also disclosed is a nucleic acid amplification method which can amplify a nucleic acid in a whole blood sample conveniently with high efficiency. The nucleic acid amplification method is characterized by involving a pre-treatment process which comprises the following steps (a) and (b): (a) diluting the whole blood sample with a diluent solvent containing a polyvalent cation; and (b) heating the whole blood sample that has been diluted in the step (a), and is also characterized by carrying out a nucleic acid amplification reaction by using a treatment solution that has been pre-treated by the above-mentioned pre-treatment process for a whole blood sample.</p> |
