<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an input device which displays a character in an attractive mode when a player chooses the character and is suitable for informing the player that the choice of the character is made; an input method; and a program. <P>SOLUTION: The character corresponds to nonselected moving image, a moving image during selection, and a striking pose moving image. An indication part 202 repeatedly displays the nonselected moving image of the character according to background music on a selection screen. If a reception section 201 receives indication input which chooses the character displayed on the selection screen, the indication part 202 reproduces the striking pose moving image with most attractive timing, but repeatedly reproduces the moving image during selection according to the background music until the timing and feeds back to the player purport that selection indication is received.
