<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst-coated body comprising a photocatalyst layer which has high transparency, is excellent in weather resistance, noxious gas decomposability and exhibits other desired characteristics such as ultraviolet absorptivity and film strength while preventing corrosion of a substrate, and to provide a photocatalytic coating liquid for the photocatalyst-coated body. <P>SOLUTION: The photocatalyst-coated body comprises the substrate and the photocatalyst layer disposed on the substrate. The photocatalyst layer contains: photocatalyst particles of 5 pts.mass or more and 15 pts.mass or less, having an average particle size of 10 to 100 nm; inorganic oxide particles of more than 75 pts.mass and 95 pts.mass or less; and dried material of hydrolyzable silicone of 0 pts.mass or more and less than 10 pts.mass (silica-reduced) such that the sum amount of the photocatalyst particles, the inorganic oxide particles and the silica-reduced amount of hydrolyzable silicone amount to 100 pts.mass.
