<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting-up control device capable of simply exchanging a discharge lamp without any risk of an electric shock and hardly consuming standby power. <P>SOLUTION: When electrodes E1, E2 of the discharge lamp DL are mounted on terminals T1, T2 for the discharge lamp DL while a power source is closed, power source voltage Vcc is applied to an oscillation control circuit OC via a resistor R1, the electrode E1 of the discharge lamp DL, a resistor R2, the electrode E2 of the discharge lamp DL, a resistor R3, and a power source terminal of the oscillation control circuit OC. Therefore, the oscillation control circuit OC automatically starts on/off of switching elements Q1, Q2, namely, oscillation of high frequency voltage from an initial state of the oscillation control circuit OC, and the discharge lamp DL automatically lights up. When either of the electrodes E1, E2 of the discharge lamp DL is separated from the terminals T1, T2 though the power source is closed, the power source voltage Vcc is not applied to the oscillation control circuit OC, and the oscillation control circuit OC automatically stops oscillation of high frequency voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
