PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion liquid containing a black coloring material having satisfactory dispersion properties and dispersion stability, to provide a black curable composition which has satisfactory stability with passage of time and capable of forming a light shielding film wherein reduction of light shielding ability is suppressed and generation of a residue is eliminated at a peripheral part thereof, to provide the light shielding film for a solid imaging element and method for manufacturing the same and to provide the solid imaging element.

SOLUTION: The dispersion liquid includes (A) a resin having (i) a main chain part having a nitrogen atom, (ii) a group [X] having a functional group having pKa of 14 or less and bonded to the nitrogen atom of the main chain part, and (iii) an oligomer chain or a polymer chain [Y] having a number average molecular weight of 500 to 1,000,000 as a side chain, (B) the black coloring material and (C) a solvent.
