<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-like article which, although it includes an IC section for radio communication in a sheet body having at least a metal layer, minimizes the degradation of communication conditions, and to provide a method for easily manufacturing the sheet-like article. <P>SOLUTION: In a sheet body 10, a cut-out section 12 cut out in an approximately circular shape so as to have a short-side edge opening 12a is formed. An IC section 20 is attached to the cut-out section 12, and the whole area of an IC body 22 of the IC section 20 is located in the cut-out section 12 of the sheet body 10. In the cut-out section 12 of the sheet body 10, transmission of electric waves and magnetic flux in the thickness direction of a metal layer (sheet body 10) is allowed, and transmission of electric waves and magnetic flux in the surface direction of the metal layer (sheet body 10) is allowed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
