<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of carrying paper to a downstream side of a registration roller at proper timing, even if a first paper detecting portion disposed on an upstream side of the registration roller detects detection time between papers shorter than a predetermined time. <P>SOLUTION: A carrying control portion 30 is provided, which controls a paper feeding roller 6, a carrying roller 7, and a registration roller 8, and carries the paper from a paper storage portion 14 to a fixing portion 132. The image forming device 1 comprises: a paper feeding control portion 32 intermittently driving the paper feeding roller 6 at a predetermined interval; and a registration control portion 33 drive-controlling the carrying roller 7 and the registration roller 8 according to the timing at which a first paper detecting portion 4 disposed on the upstream side of the registration roller 8 detects the paper, at the carrying control portion 30.
