METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GRINDING

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed grinding device which can attain a substantially larger removal rate than a typical ordinary rate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This high speed grinding device has a porous grinding wheel 2 and machines 10 and 12 attached with the grinding wheel 2 and rotating the grinding wheel 2 at a peripheral speed reaching 80 m per sec. A high pressure coolant supply system 26 having at least one nozzle means 20 is arranged for substantially orienting a coolant jetted under high pressure to an aiming point 19 at the periphery of the grinding wheel 2 prior ot a grinding point.
