SCREW CAP REMOVING METHOD AND SCREW CAP REMOVING DEVICE

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pull out an opened screw cap 2 without having it trapped at the screw of a container 6. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A container 6 capped with the screw cap 2 is supplied by a conveyor 4, while the screw cap 2 is gripped by a chuck 10 rotated by a servo motor 12 controlled by a control device 16 and moved up and down by a vertically moving means. The body portion 6a of the container 6 is gripped by grippers 8A, 8B. The chuck 10 is once rotated in a cap closing direction to fasten the screw cap 2 to a predetermined torque. Then the chuck is turned by a prescribed angle in the cap opening direction. The screw cap 2 can be surely removed by setting a rotating angle so that the screw of the container 6 and the screw of the screw cap 2 come to be located at positions wherein they are not caught in a superimposed relationship.
