<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device and a liquid jetting device, avoiding collision of a carriage with a discharge driven roller holder. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The recording device includes: the carriage 10 loaded with a recording head 13 and reciprocating between a recording region and a non-recording region; discharge rollers 21, 22 having discharge driven rollers 21b, 22b composed of discharge drive rollers 21a, 22a and a toothed roller; the discharge driven roller holder 35 holding the discharge driven rollers 21b, 22b and composed to be a contact state and a retreated state; and a carriage displacing means displacing the carriage 10 in relation to the discharge driven roller holder 35. The device includes a restriction means allowing the displacement of the discharge driven roller holder 35 to the retreated state, only when the carriage 10 is positioned in a non-interfering position causing no interference with the discharge driven roller holder 35 displaced to the retreated state.
