PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding apparatus capable of increasing durability by suppressing abrasion of a check ring and also capable of stably conducting measuring process with high degree of accuracy. SOLUTION: In the molding apparatus wherein a molten resin amount is measured by backspacing a screw 2 installed in a heating cylinder 5 under rotation and then a molten resin is injected into a cavity of a die from an injection nozzle 3 installed in a top edge of a heating cylinder 5 by advancing a screw 2, a head 8 structured in a top edge of a screw 2 is installed in a body of a screw 2a through a bearing material 7 under free rotation. During a period when measurement of a molten resin amount is conducted by forwarding a molten resin to an injection nozzle side 3 by rotating of a body of a screw 2a, rotation of a head 8 with rotation of a body of a screw 2a can be suppressed by a bearing material 7, whereby abrasion of a check ring 10 by sleeve with an inner wall surface 12 of a heating cylinder 5 can be eliminated even when a body of a screw 2a is rotated.
