<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can correctly detect the speed of an endless belt. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A composite machine 100 comprises a plurality of photo conductor drums 5 to which toner of a plurality of colors for forming an image are adhered respectively, the endless belt 4 which transfers the toner of the plurality of colors transferred to the outer peripheral surface respectively by the plurality of photo conductor drums 5 at a predetermined conveyance speed while carrying the toner, a drive roller 11 which is arranged at the inner peripheral side of the endless belt 4 and drives the endless belt 4 at a predetermined rotational frequency, a speed detection roller 7 which is arranged at the position contacting the drive roller 11 through the endless belt 4 at the outer peripheral side of the endless belt 4 and detects the conveyance speed, and a rotational frequency control means 20 which controls the rotational frequency according to the conveyance speed detected by the speed detection roller 7.
