<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular occupant crash protection device capable of further effectively reducing whiplashes in rear collisions. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This vehicular occupant crash protection device has a movable part on the right and left of a headrest, and has a rear collision predicting part for predicting that the other vehicle collides from the rear with one's own vehicle, a head part detecting part for detecting that a head part of an occupant exists in front of the movable part, and a headrest control part for putting the movable part in an uninclined full opening state in the lateral direction of the vehicle from an initial state having a predetermined inclination forward to the lateral direction of the vehicle when the head part detecting part detects that the head part of the occupant exists in front of the movable part when a rear collision predicting part predicts a rear collision.
