Ž<P>SOLUTION: This driving state changeover controller of the 4WD vehicle provided with an SNR synchronous determination means 82(S6) to determine the synchronization of a synchronous mechanism 60 in changing a two-wheel driving state to a four-wheel driving state and an ADD intermittent changeover control means 84(S7) to change over a meshing clutch 36 so as to connect motive power transmission between a differential gear 30 for a front wheel and the front wheel 34r when the synchronization of the synchronous mechanism 60 is determined by the SNR synchronous determination means 82 is capable of reducing thrust required for actuation as small as possible by carrying out the actuation to push through a synchronizer ring 68 in the synchronous mechanism 60 after establishing the motive power transmission between the front wheel 34r and a propeller shaft 28 for the front wheel by connecting the meshing clutch 36 after the synchronization completion of the synchronous mechanism 60 and capable of carrying out the favorable changeover without providing a special constitution.
