<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing medium which prevents paper powder, etc. from adhering to a label surface before printing and improves printing accuracy and to provide a printer using it. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The printing medium 10 is composed of long mount paper 2 to which the label 1 is temporarily stuck and a long film 3 which covers the mount paper 2 from the temporal-adhesion side of the label 1. The printer using the printing medium 10 is composed of a means of conveying the printing medium 10, an exfoliation means of the film from the conveyed printing medium 10, and a printing means which forms an image in a printing area of the printing medium 10 from which the film 3 is peeled off.
