<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid inflow of EGR gas to a negative pressure generation device in a vehicle on which the negative pressure generation device and an EGR mechanism are mounted. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vehicle includes the negative pressure generation device for generating negative pressure by utilizing a pressure difference between the pressure in an intake passage on the upstream side of an intake throttle valve and the pressure in the intake passage on the downstream side of the intake throttle valve, and the EGR mechanism for recirculating a part of exhaust gas from an exhaust passage to the intake passage of an internal combustion engine. In the vehicle, when operating the negative pressure generation device, the operation of the negative pressure generation device is suspended for a certain period of time after an EGR valve is closed and the flow of the gas from the intake passage to the negative pressure generation device is cut off.
