PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding case 16 that is easy to process and that makes the EMC characteristics improve. SOLUTION: The shielding case 16 has a substantial box shape and is used for an electrical connector 10 that is mounted on a substrate 80. In the shielding case 16 having a fitting hole 18 through which an object fits, and a plurality of terminal portions 36 to be mounted on the substrate 80, a plurality of contact pieces 20 are disposed on the perimeter of the fitting hole 18; second contact pieces 22, that have heights identical to those of the contact pieces 20 are provided by open-up processing between the contact pieces, that are disposed on the top surface 28 (side opposite to that connected to the substrate) and both sides 30, 30, or are provided with third contact pieces 20 that are level with the contact pieces 20 are provided by open-up processing, in the same manner as for providing the second contact pieces 22, between the contact pieces 20 that are disposed on both the top surface 28 (side opposite to that connected to the substrate) and the sides 30, 30.
