The drive unit (10) i.e. electrical motor (12), has a drive shaft (14) that is supported using a roller bearing. A magnetic signal sensor (20) is designed as a circular magnet (80) or plastic bonded magnet and provided for detecting a rotary position of the shaft. The sensor is arranged on a sleeve shaped holding element (42) provided for holding the circular magnet, where the holding element and an inner ring (44) of the roller bearing are designed as a single piece. The roller bearing comprises of an outer ring (52), which is utilized in a housing part (40) in an axial movable manner. The holding element is made of a magnetic non-conductive material such as plastic. The housing part is designed as a base plate (36) of a control electronic circuit (27). The bearing outer ring is designed as a loose bearing (54) opposite to a housing (16) of the drive unit.
