The tool (100) has a die cavity (5) formed between two die plates (1, 2) in a closed condition. A hot channel (19) stands in connection with a feed channel (13) leaded into the die cavity over hot channel closures (20, 21). A die cavity contour piece (9) is arranged between a section (13a) of the feed channel and the die cavity. The contour piece includes a surface (12) that forms a contour surface of the die cavity. The contour piece is movable in a parallel direction to a pathway of the section of the feed channel.
