The adjuster (1) has a stator (2) driven by a crankshaft of an internal-combustion engine over a traction drive. A rotor (3) is torque-proofly connected with a camshaft (10). A working chamber (4) is arranged between the stator and the rotor, where the chamber is subjected with a pressurizing medium such that relative position of the rotor to the stator is variable. A set of seal disks (5, 6) laterally defines the working chamber, where one of the seal disks radially and outwardly protrudes the stator in sections. The seal disks have recesses in an area protruded to the stator.
