A process for sanitizing a pipe, comprises applying a liner to the inside of the pipe by feeding a fibre tube, soaked with a hardenable resin that contains a UV initiator and an organic peroxide, into the pipe, and then inflating the tube with compressed air so it presses against the inside of the pipe. A UV light source is then pulled through the pipe to harden the resin. The fibre tube has a wall thickness in excess of 10mm, and the resin contains 0.3-4.0 wt% organic peroxide which breaks down into radicals between 40 and 90 degreesC. The UV light is at least 800 W/m2.
