<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure printing press and its controlling method, with which the registration slurs of printing in each of printing units can be converged in their early stages to a steady state. <P>SOLUTION: This gravure printing press includes a preceding stage printing unit 10a, in which printing is conducted on a web W at first, and following stage printing units 10b, 10c and 10d provided on the downstream side of the preceding stage printing unit 10a. Respective following stage printing units 10b, 10c and 10d have register mark detecting sensors 15b, 15c and 15d for detecting register marks on the web W and tension detectors 18b, 18c and 18d for detecting tensions of a web W between the printing units. In addition, the gravure printing press has a controller 30. The controller 30 calculates out the operation quantities Δω<SB>2</SB>(t), Δω<SB>3</SB>(t), Δω<SB>4</SB>(t) of the respective motors 13b, 13c, 13d with time based on the magnitude of the registration slur and the tension of the web W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
