<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance film type input device, in which the presence of an opening part is inconspicuous even when the opening part is formed in a sheet electrode to enhance the sheet resistance value, and a display with input function. <P>SOLUTION: In a first light transmission substrate 10 and a second light transmission substrate 20 of a resistance film type input panel 2 of the input device, opening parts 150 and 250 are formed in a first sheet electrode 15 and a second sheet electrode 25 to enhance the sheet resistance value. Therefore, the linearity between an electric signal and a contact position obtained in an input position detecting circuit is high. On the inside of the opening parts 150 and 250 in the first sheet electrode 15 and the second sheet electrode 25, island-like patterns 151 and 251 are formed on the inner periphery of the opening parts 150 and 250 with predetermined spaces 152 and 252 therefrom.
