PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and an imaging method for improving the zoom operability. SOLUTION: A cellular phone 1 includes: a housing; a camera part 23 arranged in the housing; a display part 21 displaying an image picked up by the camera part 23; and a control part 30 controlling the zoom of the image picked up by the camera part 23. The control part 30 detects displacement of the housing in the imaging direction of the camera part 23, on the basis of the detection value of an acceleration sensor 31 and controls the zoom of the picked-up image, on the basis of the detected displacement of the housing.
